CONEXPO: Komatsu previews next-generation dozers

Komatsu is giving ConExpo 2026 attendees an unique preview of two next-generation crawler dozers: the D61PXi-25 and the D175AX-10.

The machines are designed to deal with the pressures going through contractors and mining operations, together with tighter margins, expert labour shortages and the necessity to transfer materials extra effectively.

The D61PXi-25 is a totally redesigned clever machine management (IMC) dozer within the midsize class. In comparison with its predecessor, the D61PXi-24, it gives as much as 10% larger productiveness, as much as 10% larger gasoline effectivity, an 18% improve in blade capability and as much as 20% extra steering energy. The machine options IMC 3.0 with a brand new 10-inch clever management touchscreen, auto steering, and the power to take care of IMC operation if the GNSS sign is briefly misplaced. A redesigned cab gives enhanced visibility, ergonomic joysticks and centralised controls. An electronically managed high-pressure provide and EGR-less engine design are meant to extend materials moved per gallon whereas supporting exact grading efficiency.

The D175AX-10 is the primary of Komatsu’s next-generation giant manufacturing dozers and the successor to the D155AX-8. It introduces a brand new essential body, monitor frames, powertrain, cab and blade system. In comparison with the D155AX-8, the D175AX-10 delivers as much as 26% extra horsepower at 450hp (336kW), as much as 25% extra cubic yards of fabric moved per hour, as much as 15% higher gasoline effectivity measured in cubic yards moved per gallon, and a 35% tighter turning radius. A brand new 4-speed automated transmission and redesigned semi-U blade are engineered for enhanced penetration and diminished materials resistance. The cab features a KomVision 360° visibility system and a touchscreen monitor. A brand new steering system permits pivot, energy and spin turns with out sacrificing blade load, whereas an eight-roller monitor body is designed for sturdiness in heavy manufacturing environments. The machine is powered by Komatsu’s DBA127 EGR-less engine, which is meant to decrease whole value of possession by improved gasoline effectivity and prolonged service intervals.

“The contractors and mining operations we work with are asking for measurable efficiency features with out sacrificing operator consolation or long-term sturdiness,” says Paul Moore, vp for merchandise, advertising and marketing and repair. “With the D61PXi-25 and the D175AX-10, we targeted on integrating greater output, extra environment friendly powertrains and superior management methods that assist transfer extra materials per move whereas supporting operators within the cab.”

Each fashions are designed to combine with Komatsu’s Good Building options, Komatsu Care programmes, Komatsu Real Elements and different service choices. The D175AX-10 is focused for introduction in North America in 2026, with the D61PXi-25 deliberate for a later date. Timing and availability are topic to alter.
